If you are in or going to be in the Los Angeles area between February 19-August 9, 2009 make sure you check out the exhibit that is going to be going on at the Skirball Cultural Center. The exhibit is ZAP! POW! BAM! The Superhero: The Golden Age of Comic Books, 1938–1950 and it’s all about comics. Go check it out. I will be.

Star Wars Medstar by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry
My review
rating: 5 of 5 stars
Both Medstar books are my favorite Star Wars universe books to date. The characters aren’t the norm we’re used to in the Galaxy and I really like the relationships that were formed.
The Courtship of Princess Leia by Dave Wolverton
My review
rating: 5 of 5 stars
If you want to know where Han and Leia go after the movies read this. It’s a good story a little slow at parts but then you get drawn into a very interesting story. The characters are well rounded and you learn so much about them that it is wonderful.
The Cestus Deception by Steven Barnes
My review
rating: 4 of 5 stars
I liked this one better than Shatterpoint.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed by Sean Williams
My review
rating: 5 of 5 stars
The Force Unleashed is the first Star Wars book I’ve read and I have to say I am impressed. They characters were well formed and I got wrapped up in everything that was happening to them. Throughout the book you sway back and forth with the characters on a very interesting journey.

Wanted: Assassin’s Edition
Wanted: Assassin’s Edition by Mark Millar
My review
rating: 3 of 5 stars
I just finished Wanted and I wasn’t overly wowed by it. I don’t know I just don’t think it’s as great as everyone makes it out to be.
